As an important tool for fashion industry and retail display, the production process of mannequins combines the essence of artistic design and industrial manufacturing. The birth of a high-quality mannequin requires multiple precise steps, from the initial concept design to the final finished product inspection, and each link is crucial.

Design and Prototyping

The production process begins with the designer's creative ideas. Based on market demand and fashion trends, the designer draws a preliminary sketch of the model to determine the posture, proportions and style characteristics. In modern production, these designs are often transformed into digital prototypes through 3D modeling software, allowing designers to adjust every detail in a virtual environment. After determining the final design, our designers will use a 3D printer to produce a physical prototype, which will serve as a template for subsequent large-scale production.

Mold making and material selection

After the prototype is approved, the mold making stage begins. Depending on the production scale and material requirements, fiberglass molds, silicone molds or metal molds may be used. Common production materials include fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), polyurethane resin or environmentally friendly composite materials. Mold making requires extremely high precision to ensure the surface smoothness and detail restoration of the final product.

Production and Assembly

During the mass production phase, our workers inject the prepared materials into the mold and form them through processes such as spin casting or pressure injection. After curing and demolding, they need to be carefully trimmed by hand to remove burrs and seams. Models with movable joints require additional assembly steps, and workers will install internal support structures and connecting parts. Surface treatment includes sanding, primer spraying and multiple layers of coloring, and finally skin-like textures or special effects may be added upon request.

Quality Inspection and Packaging

Each finished product undergoes rigorous quality checks, including balance tests, surface integrity checks, and color consistency assessments. Mannequins that pass the inspection are properly packaged, and we use foam plastic or bubble film for shockproofing, and pack them into 5-layer thickened cartons for shipping. The entire production process combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to ensure that each mannequin can perfectly showcase the design concept of the clothing.
